Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The influential video game developer passed away following his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
